The key that unlocks all the promises of God is this - Jesus
taught that a man must be born again . The following statments came from the
lips of Jesus :
"...Except a man be born again , he cannot see
the Kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
"...Except a man be born of water and of
the Spirit , he cannot enter into the kingdom of God"(John 3:5).
"...Except ye be converted , and become as little children, ye shall not
enter into the kingdom of heaven " (Matt. 18:3).
The New Birth is a
necessity to being saved .Through the New Birth you come into the right
relationship with God . The New Birth is necessary before you can claim any of
the benefits of the Bible.
The New Birth is not : confirmation - Church
Membership-Water Baptism-the taking of Sacraments--Observing Religious Duties-an
intellectual reception of Christianity -orthodoxy of faith- going to
church-saying prayers-reading the Bible-being moral-being cultured or
refined-doing good deeds-doing your best-nor any of the other many things men
trust in to save them .
Nicodemus, whom Jesus addressed concerning the
new birth, possessed most of the qualities we just listed, but Jesus
said to him ,"Ye must be Born Again" (John 3:7). Millions are misled believing
that they can get to God some way other than the way that God has prescribed in
his Word.
Don't think that you know the way because of your religion or
your upbringing. There are many ways but not all of them are
right . Don't take the attitude that you won't or can't be deceived. Your
church may be right on its beliefs, but you need to go to the bible and
you need to see where you are in your heart with God on the issue, and whether
or not you have a relationship with God according to the Word.
There
really is no in- between on the issue of salvation. You are
either born of God according to the Word (saved) or you are being
deceived into thinking you are saved and you are really
lost. The issue of life is in the heart, not the mind . Jesus
said , "For from within , out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts,
adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit,
lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil
things come from within,and defile the man" (Mark 7:21-23). The
trouble is in the heart , the inward man, the Spirit.
Just to live a
good life is great but it won't get you an audience with a king. If
you live better than I do, if you give to the poor and if all that
you do is for charity, then you could look good on the outside, but it is
the heart that God looks on. Out of Christ every man is rotten
in the heart , and a correctness of life apart from Christ ,is artificialand the
practice of Hypocrites. And Jesus said about what he called Hypocrites "... For
ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward , but
are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness" Matt 23:27.
"God is no respecter of persons ", Acts 10:34. there must be a way all
mankind can come to God on Equal terms , were the merits of one man are
not . greater than the merits of another . Jesus told this story in
the Gospel of Luke 18:9-14 "He also told the following parable to certain
persons who were sure of their own goodness and looked down on everybody else.
two men went up to the temple to pray : one was a Pharisee and the other
was a tax collecter . The Pharisee stood up and said his prayer as follows
; I thank thee O God I am not like the rest of men , thieves , rogues, and
immoral ,or even like this tax collector . Twice a week i fast ; on all my
income i pay tithes . But the tax collector stood far away and would not lift
even his eyes to heaven , but beat his breast , saying 'O God . have mercy on me
for my sins ! I tell you he went home accepted by God rather than the other
man For every one that uplifts himself will be humbled but he who
humbles himself will be uplifted" ( Moffit Trans. )
It states in
Romans 3:10-13" there is no one righteous" it declairs in the word if
Isaiah the prophet our righteousness is as filthy rags, we have no way to go to
God that will satisfy the penelty of sin EXCEPT through Jesus. Jesus died once
for all that we might be free from the wages of sin .
Jesus paid the
price for sin being made in the likness of sinful flesh Second Corinthians 5:21
says that God made Jesus who Knew no sin to be sin for us. We can come to
God Equally if we can all come the same way. Jesus said I am the way the Truth
and the Life no man cometh to the Father but by me . the reason we
can go to God Is because Jesus Redemed man from his sin with his DEATH paying
the price for all . once.
When you are Born Again - the nature of God is
Born in you . The nature of Sin and satan is death the nature of God is
Life John 8:44 Jesus said to the people in his day and said "Ye are of
your father the Devil" To accept Jesus as Lord of your life is to turn your back
on the Devil who is the "god of this world" (2Cor 4;4) You
take on a new father and you are Born Again not physically but
Spiritually , your spirit is born in the likeness of God .
When
you accept Jesus as lord the Holy Spirit comes to Indwell you and causes
your own spirit to be recreated . According to 2Cor 5:17 you become a new
Creature, old things are passed away all things become new . As far as God
is concerned ,at that moment , you stand before him as a brand new person . You
are reborn from sin and reborn from death to Righteousness and new life .
1John 51:4 States " Whosoever Believeth that Jesus is the Christ is Born
of God.... For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world : and this
is the victory that overcometh the world even our faith."
I want you to
realize what happens the moment a person makes Jesus Christ the Lord of his life
. In the eyes of God , he becomes a world overcommer . sin no longer reigns over
his life . sin is no longer his lord. Jesus is his lord , and he can live above
the satanic forces in this world.
Matt 28:18 Jesus told his disciples
after he was raised from the dead , "All power is given unto me in heaven and in
the earth " Then in Mark 16:15 He delegated that authority and said
go ye into all the world ,and preach the gospel , The Gospel is that , "Good
News " . Good news is that God is not holding your sins against you you are
forgiven. In Christ.
In order to be Born Again the Bible is specific .
Romans 10:8-11"... the word is nigh thee , even in thy mouth , and in thy heart
: that is , the word of faith , which we preach ; that if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord Jesus , and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead , thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness ; and confession is made unto salvation , whosoever believeth
on him shall not be ashamed."
John 6:37 Jesus tells us " Him that
cometh to me I will in no wise cast him out.
The moment you make Jesus
the lord of your life will be the moment you have a desire to live. (John
10:10) "I am come that they might have life , and that more abundantly"
When i gave my life to Jesus my inner nature was changed and
the change in my Spirit brought changes to my mind and body. these
changes are available to you also , If you are tired of the way you are ,
and ready to do something about it then it is easy angd God is there with you to
answer you . I want you to Join me in Prayer now , it is a
prayer of salvation , and if you will not just read it but make a conscious
effort to speak these words from your heart , and if you will say them out loud
so you can hear yourself saying them, when you finish this prayer you will
be born again.
Heavenly Father , in the name of Jesus , I present myself
to you . I pray and ask Jesus to be the Lord of my life . I believe it in my
heart , so I say it with my mouth ;" Jesus has been raised from the
dead " This moment I make him lord over my life
Jesus come
into my heart . I believe this moment I am saved . I say it Now I am
reborn . I am a child of Almighty God.
